Alberta Avenue has many different communities including Parkdale, Eastwood, It is located a few minutes north of Downtown and is home to one of the most diverse communities in the city. It is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Edmonton with some homes dating back to 1911.

This community features a multitude of restaurants celebrating great cuisine from all over the world. Home to the one and only Green Onion Cake Man and Pho King, you can also find the Samosa House and Taste of Shangri La. OTTO Food & Drink restaurant is a neighbourhood favourite who serves some of the best sausage in the city. Belge Cafe make wonderful sandwiches and have tasty samosas. The Handy Bakery and Popular Bakery are well known places to pick up freshly baked goodies.
Alberta Avenue Festivals
Edmonton has some great festivals some fantastic community festivals are in Alberta Avenue. The Kaleido Family Arts Festival happens in early fall and , Deep Freeze Byzantine happens right after the New Year. There is also That Blooming Garden Show and Art Sale to look forward to in the spring.

It’s a very walkable community with the Sprucewood Edmonton Public Library on 95 Street and 115 Avenue. Specialty stores like Kasoa (Tropical Food Market) and Paraiso Tropical (Latin Market). Pe Metawe Games is a great place to support an Indigenous local business, especially if you are looking for the latest board game for a family games night.
