Blatchford is one of Edmonton’s newest community developments. This development has been years in the making since the Municipal Airport closed in 2013.
Promising renewable energy which allows all properties to be heated and cooled sustainably. The goal is for the whole community that is carbon neutral. A geoexchange field has been built in the community to take advantage of thermal energy that is created when energy from the sun is absorbed into the Earth’s surface.
This community is being developed as a walkable one, with 2 residential boroughs a town centre, a Central Park and civic plaza. It is being developed in stages with residential attached homes currently available.
